As our long time and wonderful crew of Bus Drivers step back we are having difficulty finding new ones. To prepare for the inevitable, we are exploring buying another 12-15 passenger van like the one pictured here. These vehicles do not require a Commercial Drivers License (CDL) and can be driven by staff and parents.
Part of the plan is to find parents who are driving to events to watch their kids who would also be willing to transport the teams if we are unable to find CDL drivers for the larger tour buses and school buses.
These parent and community drivers would be paid for all hours gone for the event, not just drive time.
Before we make any vehicle purchases or decisions, we are reaching out to gauge interest and build a "pool" of parents to call upon.
