Applications for MedStart and Heads Up Summer Programs are now open! Freshman, Sophomores and Juniors who are interested in pursuing a career in healthcare and behavioral health are encouraged to apply.
MedStart is a multi-day immersive program that supports healthcare career exploration through hands-on activities, job shadowing, classroom lectures and college prep information sessions. Additionally, students who participate in MedStart are eligible for one college credit through Highlands College. MedStart is held during the summer in Billings, Butte, Great Falls, Miles City and Missoula (dates vary by location and are located on the flyer and application). Tuition for MedStart is $500.00 however, scholarships are available, and students have been able to attend for free in the past.
Heads Up is a multi-day immersive program that supports behavioral health career exploration through hands-on activities, classroom lectures and college prep information sessions. Students who participate in Heads Up in Helena are certified in Teen Mental Health First Aid which provides them with the skills to support peers experiencing mental health challenges. Heads Up is held in Helena at Carroll College and is scheduled for July 12th-16st, as well as Billings at Montana State University Billings on August 2nd-6th
