Guardians/Parents,

Join us in the Bruin Den on Thursday February 12th at 3:00pm for a special health awareness presentation.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This presentation is for adults only.

"Hidden in Plain Sight" is an interactive drug education program for parents using a mock teenage bedroom to show parents all the ways youth are hiding drugs, alcohol and paraphernalia in our modern times.

This program is extremely important because all of the items that will be on display were easily purchased on Amazon. Many parents say they do not know what indicators may indicate drug use. The mock teenage bedroom will display some everyday items that can actually be indicators of drug use or risky behavior. The audience will be shown and advised of the significance of every item on display in the “bedroom”. The goal is to have the viewers understand what may be “Hidden in Plain Sight." It is important for parents to know that not every child is drinking or using drugs. Research shows that the vast majority of youth are not. This is a program to use when there are clear signs of potential alcohol and drug use. Keep in mind kids do get very defensive when their private spaces are being invaded for no reason. We will supply information on how to talk with your children about alcohol and drug use as well as the important signs to look out for.
