Innovative Educational Program Tax Credit

Any donations made to Gardiner Public Schools under the Innovative Educational Program Tax Credit Bill (HB 279) give donors a dollar-for-dollar tax credit on their state tax bill.  Read the information below and should you like to donate, please fill out the following form and then drop off your donation to the school office at 510 Stone St., Gardiner, MT 59030.

Some of the areas your donations may contribute to include:

Curriculum

Professional Development

Innovative Programs (i.e. Place Based Science)

Technology (supplies and training)

College & Career Readiness/Advanced Placement

Courses

Career Placement Programs

and MORE!

All donation requests are due by January 19, 2026 and school personnel will submit donations to the state on January 21st. Donations are awarded on a first come, first serve basis as state funds allow.

Here's how it works:

  1. The State has a pot of money that it will redirect to schools based on tax credit donations.

  2. Donors fill out the Education Tax Credit form and drop off a check to the school no later than January 19th.

  3. On January 21st, the school will go the the state portal and enter all the donor information and amounts until the pot of money is depleted.

  4. The money is distributed on a first come, first served basis until all the money is allocated.

  5. If a donor's check was not accepted (the pot of money was gone), the school will return the check to the donor.
