A big shoutout to Livingston Healthcare for hosting a healthcare career day last week for students. Chantel Hicks and Erin Barcus did an amazing job creating a day where students got to learn and experience what it would be like to work in a hospital with 8 different stations: from Cardiac Rehabilitation (PT, OT), Imagining ( MRI, CT, X -Ray, Ultrasound, etc....), Lab work, Pharmacy, Human Resources, Emergency Department services, etc...... Students participated in hands on activities and learned about what types of training they would need to enter specific fields of study. Thanks again! We plan to attend again next year!!

For National FFA Week in February, Gardiner FFA hosted the annual elementary FFA coloring contest. This year there were two special aspects of the coloring contest- 1. There was 74% of the elementary that participated this year, with 1st and 3rd grade having 100% of the class participation. 2. Our own FFA member Haven K. created the coloring pages this year. She didn’t want to utilize color pages created with the use of AI so she asked if she could make them herself. She based them on the symbols that represent the six different FFA offices. Not sure how we’re going to top these pages down the road!

2026 Results-
Kindergarten: 1st Teagan, 2nd Hake
First Grade: 1st Sadye, 2nd Thule
Second Grade: 1st Minerva, 2nd Christopher
Third Grade: 1st Victor (also won the overall prize of Vanilla Gift Card), 2nd Caroline
Fourth Grade: 1st Hasell, 2nd Owen
Fifth Grade: 1st Chloe, 2nd Coltor
Sixth Grade: 1st Journee, 2nd Esme

Congrats to all the Gardiner Elementary participants!

The month of February was a very busy one for Gardiner FFA members! In addition to a number of award application deadlines being due in February (in preparation for state FFA convention starting March 31), it also held our final districts competition and National FFA Week activities.

Here are a few highlights from February:
• Valentine’s Senior Citizens dinner and bingo
• Yellowstone FFA Districts in Big Timber, where teams qualified for state in Agronomy, Farm and Agribusiness Management, and Ag Mechanics. Madalyn H. also placed 3rd in Star Greenhand (top freshman)
• FFA Floriculture team helped with the Tumbleweed’s Galentine’s Event, helping ladies from the community arrange flowers
• Annual FFA Week Elementary Coloring Contest (separate post with more info)
• Montana FFA State Officer visit, where officers Cole and Savannah presented a workshop on Communication Skills
• Annual FFA teacher and staff breakfast where members prepared a hot breakfast to show their appreciation.

This message was shared with high school students, but we also encourage our school community of parents to consider volunteering as well!

Hello Students!
I was asked to share this opportunity with you. There is a blood drive this Friday March 27th, from 11:30 to 5 at Yellowstone Forever (in the conference room, behind the gift shop). This is a great way to give back to our community.

I know that day is also prom and there's always a lot going on, but there are three fairly easy ways you can be involved:
1. Donate blood (must be 17 or older). Go to this website to make an appointment. There are several appointments available between 12:30-2:15! They are giving $15 Amazon gift cards and there are cookies. Eat a protein-based lunch and drink lots of water if you donate!
https://www.redcrossblood.org/give.html/find-drive?utm_source=Meta&utm_medium=Paid&utm_campaign=%7B%7Badset.name%7D%7D&utm_content=%7B%7Bad.name%7D%7D
2. Volunteer as a helper. No age limit to help with this. You are helping with check-in and are an extra hand to provide items to those that are donating blood.
3. Bake and donate cookies to give to the drive. It's best to also give a note with main ingredients (gluten, eggs, nuts, etc.) to help those who have food allergies know.

I really hope you consider this, as they would be so grateful to have the help!
