The EPI crew had a great day learning some snow science, and working on their research questions about Yellowstone.

The eighth graders on the EPI have settled in at our lodging, learned a bit about the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem (GYE), and are either relaxing or have their turn cooking dinner.
Grades 3-6 had a great time in the Bridger Bowl PE Program last Thursday! Thanks to our chaperones and instructors!
One of my favorite photo opps each year is Ms Cote's Government classes' "Hats a President of the US has to Wear". This class did a particularly fine job of crafting them.
For National FFA Week, the week of February 21-28, Gardiner FFA partnered with four of the local coffee shops to feature special drinks throughout FFA week.
Each shop is featuring different combinations of Gardiner FFA officers' and members’ favorite sips (see flyers). Please stop by the Tumbleweed, Sagebrushers Cafe (in Super 8), Cowboy Up Coffee (by Sinclair), and Bears Brew to discover a new drink!

The Lady Bruins had a tough go yesterday and lost Game 2. The boys, however, did amazing and after dropping the first game, came back to finish in 3rd place! Way to persevere boys! The boys will travel to Butte on Wednesday to play in Divisionals. We will have a Bruin Walk on Wednesday morning, more details to come!

Both girls and boys basketball teams lost their first games at districts yesterday. Boys will play again today at 10:15, girls play tomorrow. Let's Go Bruins!

Girls and boys basketball teams are heading to districts today! Good luck Bruins!

7th and 8th graders enjoying their well earned party! Good behavior pays off!

Parents of Elementary Students:
This is a reminder to send in completed FFA Week coloring pages with your elementary student tomorrow, Monday February 16th. We will be collecting them and judging them later this week so we can have them on display for National FFA Week, starting February 23rd. Mrs. Hoppe & Gardiner FFA

Senior Night

Heart Health Night. CPR certifications at halftime. Thank you Fire Department volunteers!

Senior Night tonight! Come down to the school to watch Bruins basketball!

The 7th and 8th grade classes were investigating gravity and friction today in their Physical Science class. They found that the mass of a falling object does not affect the rate at which it falls, and that different surfaces sliding against each other requires different forces depending upon the frictional force.

Parents of Elementary Students:
This weekend your student will bring home a coloring page, given by the Gardiner FFA Chapter for the annual National FFA Week coloring contest. The FFA week committee amped up the prizes this year to help incentivize participation in the contest.
Another special addition is this year's FFA coloring pages were made by our FFA member and chapter secretary Haven K.! She wanted authentic images (versus AI-generated), so she asked if she could make them herself. She made them based on the symbols that are associated with each FFA office position. The Treasurer page seen here is the 3rd Grade page, depicting George Washington and Booker T. Washington, but every grade level has a different image. We're excited to see these custom color pages returned.
Have your child's name written on the back, and please return the color pages by Monday, Feb. 16th. We will announce winners during National FFA Week, February 23-26.!

Parents/Guardians--We love seeing all the families and siblings at extracurricular events; however, please make sure your younger children are supervised during the games/activities. Children may be in the common area/concession area outside the gym and can play outside, but outside doors cannot be propped open. We have received several reports about students being unsupervised and we want to ensure everyone's safety. Thank you so much.

Elementary ski day was lots of fun. No one got cold, that's for sure! Please do your snow dance so we have something to ski on in two weeks when we return to Bridger.

Thank you Alex, Mike, and Ted for all you do for us around here. You are the crew that keeps us going!

On Wednesday, the 5th and 6th graders learned how to tie flies with Matt Wilhelm as part of our Watershed Warriors program. The students all tied a wooly worm and at the end of the session, Matt tied a fly with his eyes closed!
