Seniors putting their phones away!

Gardiner High School students participated in an avalanche awareness course provided by Gallatin National Forest Avalanche Center (GNFAC). Expert instructors taught students general avalanche knowledge to "know before you go," demonstrated avalanches and conditions in a lab setting, and how to use proper gear when working or recreating in avalanche territory. Thank you, Kathy Nichols, for coordinating this program!

Last Thursday, the 5th and 6th graders went cross country skiing to Tower Falls. We started at a chilly 9 degrees but by the time we arrived at the falls the sun had warmed things up. We had a lovely lunch at the falls. On the way, Ranger Mike provided a snow science lesson- with the lack of snow, this was a bit challenging. We were able to see a few distinct layers and observed how the lower layers were warmer than the upper layers.

See the flier for an opportunity for Basketball Photos.
